The Z7 Bar Ranch is a seedstock operation which produces registered Salers, Angus and Optimizer cattle composites. Our Headquarters is nestled in Osage County, Oklahoma, in the heart of "Green Country." The location is on County Road 2491, 12 miles East of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, on the Osage Nation Reservation. The Ranch is owned by Debra Zinke and our Ranch Manager is Mark Dixon, and their hospitality is home grown and unsurpassed.
Z7 Bar Ranch markets a select group of females through our Annual Production Sale in October, and meets the commercial cattlemen's bull requirements through Private Treaty bull sales.
Our goal is to provide the discriminating cowmen profitable and functional genetics for their herds, and we have select Fullblood cows that offer a unique opportunity for outcross genetics. Our Purebred Salers and Angus cowherds give our commercial and registered customers a larger selection of both purebred and composite genetics.

Z7 Bar Ranch History
Deep in historical Osage County, Oklahoma, Z7 Bar Ranch is nestled in the heart of The Osage Reservation (click here to read more about the reservation) where rich bluestem, known as tallgrass, grows. The unique terrain offers some of the most beautiful landscapes from native wildflowers to magnificent hidden waterfalls and rock formations. The ranch is operated in the traditions of cattlemen and cowboys of this great cow country.
Debra Zinke purchased her first piece of land several years ago, and has since added on to establish what is now known as the Z7 Bar Ranch -- home to 300+ mother cows, and bred heifers. The ranch is also home to several species of wildlife, including white tail deer, bob white quail, and doves.
Mark Dixon, a skilled and respected cowman, was hired in 2009 to manage the ranch and the Z7 Bar's breeding program. Under Mark's trained eye and hard work Z7 Bar Ranch now has an elite set of Fullblood Salers cows - one of the largest in the nation -offering the cowman the opportunity to excellent outcross genetics. Our Purebred cows offer the discriminating cowman the unique opportunity to select for the best genetics in the United States. Our Angus herd represents many of the top bloodlines in the Angus Industry today.
These Angus cows are very maternal and functional females. Here at Z7 Bar Ranch, we have the distinct opportunity to cross these two great breeds to produce the Optimizer genetics -- sought after by many enthusiastic cattlemen.
Osage County is home to some of the greatest cattlemen, both past and present.
